A traditional song first published in 1917 and dating back to at least the 1870s, though it may have Irish origin before then. Also know as "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" and "Black Girl", it was most notably performed by Leadbelly and Bill Monroe in the 1940s. This version is more in line with Bill Monroe's take, and some liberty is taken with the lyrics.
